Tyrell Malacia Linked with Move to Serie A’s Como
Tyrell Malacia, who has struggled at Manchester United, is reportedly a transfer target for Serie A club Como. The Dutch left-back, who was signed by United in 2022 for £13 million from Feyenoord, is being considered by Como as they work to stay in Italy’s top league.
Malacia, 25, has had a tough time at Old Trafford. After a promising start, he has faced injury problems and inconsistent form, making just 43 appearances for the club. United is now looking to sign Nuno Mendes from Paris Saint-Germain, which could free up Malacia to leave.
Cesc Fabregas, who is involved with Como, signed Alberto Moreno in the summer to strengthen their left side. However, Fabregas is now looking for a younger player, making Malacia a possible option.
Due to financial restrictions, United cannot pursue Mendes, and the Portuguese player has shown interest in joining Ruben Amorim’s team. If United secures Mendes, Malacia’s move to Como could become more likely.
With Moreno aging and injury-prone at 32, Como is looking for a new left-back. Malacia could be available for a lower price, making him an attractive option.
Meanwhile, Como also faces competition for young talent Nico Paz, who joined from Real Madrid this summer. The teenage star has impressed in Serie A, and Inter Milan is reportedly interested in signing him either now or at the end of the season.
