Jobe Bellingham Decides to Stay at Sunderland Amid Interest from Arsenal and Manchester United

Jobe Bellingham has decided to remain at Sunderland despite interest from top Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Manchester United during the January transfer window.

The younger brother of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has been impressive this season, playing a key role in Sunderland’s bid for promotion to the Premier League.

Sunderland has set a £20 million asking price for Bellingham, who they signed for just £1.5 million from Birmingham City 18 months ago. Despite the high interest, the club hopes to keep him for now.

Although Arsenal and Manchester United are not making major moves this month, both clubs have been closely watching Bellingham, seeing him as a future star with potential for international recognition.

Reports suggest that Jobe Bellingham is not planning to leave Sunderland this January. Instead, he is focused on helping the team and is considering a move to a European club in the summer, similar to his brother’s journey from Birmingham to Borussia Dortmund and then to Real Madrid.

While Bellingham has not publicly confirmed his plans, he hinted last month that he feels happy at Sunderland. After a recent victory over Swansea, he shared his love for the fans, saying, “The support we get is second to none in the country. I’m so glad they’ve come this far, and I love the connection with them.”

His older brother, Jude Bellingham, was even present at a Sunderland game recently to cheer on Jobe.

Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman believes Jobe’s decision to stay at Sunderland for now is a smart one. Speaking on Plejmo.com, Goodman said, “He’s a midfielder who can do it all—passing, dribbling, defending, and scoring. Manchester United could really benefit from him, but moving now might be a big jump. I’d suggest Jobe stays at Sunderland for the season and, if not promoted, he’ll have many options in the summer.”

For now, Jobe Bellingham is focused on Sunderland’s promotion push, and his future could be decided later this year.
