Manchester United Could Sell Eriksen and Antony in January to Boost Transfer Budget

Reports suggest that Manchester United, under new manager Ruben Amorim, are considering selling Christian Eriksen and Antony in the January transfer window to raise funds for new signings.

The Red Devils have had a poor start to the Premier League season, with only five wins from their first 15 games. This rocky form led to the sacking of Erik ten Hag, but Amorim is also struggling to turn things around. So far, he has managed one win, one draw, and two losses in his first four league matches. However, Man Utd did secure a Europa League victory over Bodo/Glimt under his leadership.

With the team currently sitting in 13th place in the Premier League, attention has shifted to the upcoming January transfer window. Amorim is keen to bring in reinforcements to help improve the team’s performance and climb the table.

While there is plenty of speculation about potential signings, the club is also looking to offload players to create more financial flexibility. According to GiveMeSport, Amorim has identified Eriksen and Antony as players who could be sold. Both are considered high earners, and selling them could free up funds for new transfers.

The report states that Manchester United is “open to selling members of their current squad” to increase their transfer budget. Eriksen and Antony have been “earmarked” as potential departures, giving the club more room to make moves in the market next month.

As January approaches, it remains to be seen how Amorim will reshape the squad and whether these high-profile sales will help Manchester United get back on track.
