Manchester United fans slam Marcus Rashford over ‘disrespectful’ gloves incidentNews

Marcus Rashford Criticized for Throwing Gloves on the Ground During Manchester United Game
Marcus Rashford has faced backlash from Manchester United fans after a controversial moment during the team’s 3-2 Europa League win against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday night.
The incident happened in the 59th minute, just before Rashford came on as a substitute for Mason Mount. While getting ready to enter the pitch in front of new United manager Ruben Amorim, Rashford removed his gloves. However, instead of handing them to a nearby staff member, he tossed them onto the ground.
The United staff member, who was waiting to collect the gloves, stretched out his arm to take them. But Rashford ignored him and threw the second glove on the ground as well.
The clip of this moment quickly went viral on social media, sparking criticism from fans.
One Manchester United supporter posted on X (formerly Twitter): “Usually I don’t comment on Rashford, but throwing the gloves on the floor when the guy is there waiting to take them is unacceptable. It’s becoming harder to defend him these days.”
Another fan added: “That’s just disrespectful. I like Rashford, but that’s not good.”
The criticism wasn’t limited to United fans. A Liverpool supporter commented: “Just hand him your gloves. Why throw them on the floor like he’s your dog? Can’t stand the lad, honestly.”
An Everton fan also chimed in: “Absolutely arrogant and rude. The man is standing right there—no need to just drop them on the floor. Hate that kind of attitude.”
The incident has reignited discussions about Rashford’s behavior on and off the pitch, with many calling for more respect from the 27-year-old forward.
